Question by nintoxication: Breakfast pizza recipe using corn flakes?

Years ago I had a recipe for a breakfast pizza that used plain corn flakes for the crust, and it had diced peppers & onions and lots of cheese, then you added whatever breakfast meat you liked best (sausage, bacon, ham, etc). If anyone knows what this recipe is or where I can find it, please let me know!! It was delicious and I’d love to make it for company!

Best answer:

Answer by Jerrica W
Ingredients

BASE
50g Nashta’s CORN FLAKES 2oz
6 tablespoons milk 6
45g margarine or low fat spread 1 1/2 oz
100g self raising flour sifted with
2 teaspoons of baking powder 4oz
75g Cheddar cheese, grated 3oz
salt and pepper

TOPPING
1 x 425g tin tomatoes, chopped and drained of excess juice
1 x 15oz
75g button mushrooms, sliced 3oz
25g onion, chopped 1 oz
4 rashers lean bacon, derinded and chopped 4
2 tablespoons tomato puree 2
75g Cheddar cheese, grated 3 oz

Make the bases and the topping for these pizzas separately. Freeze them and use as required.

Mix the crushed Corn Flakes and milk together and leave to soak for 5 minutes. Rub the margarine into the flour, until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Stir in the cheese, seasoning and soaked Corn Flakes.

Mix to a firm dough. In small saucepan, mix together the remaining ingredients except the cheese. Heat gently and simmer for 3 minutes.

Divide the dough into 4 and roll each piece into a circle 11 1/4cm (4″) in diameter. Place each dough circle on to a baking tray. Spread equal amounts of the tomato mixture over each dough circle, sprinkle the remaining cheese on to the tomato topping and bake in a preheated oven 200°C, 400°F, Gas Mark 6, for 15-20 minutes or until the bases are firm and the tops bubbly and cooked.

lol i found it on https://www.msu.edu/~ramchan1/nashta/breakfastpizza.html i hope this is what ur talking about.
