This is another really easy to make cake recipe that uses a boxed cake mix but makes it something special.  It’s great!

What you will need:

1 pkg white or yellow cake mix

1 8 oz carton of cool whip

2 tbsp any flavor jello dry ( I use orange)

coconut (optional)

1 1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla

Mix and bake ccake mix according to package directions using a 9×13 cake pan.  Punch holes in cake wihen done.  Mix  1 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup sugar and on tsp vanilla in a small sauce pan, heat over medium heat but do not boil.  Pour over cake.  Let cake cool completely.  Mix the jello with the cool whip and spread over cake.  Sprinkle with coconut
