Looking for something different for dinner. Try cheese topped stuffed peppers
This recipe follows one of my own personal mottos- Everything is better with cheese. This is a great recipe that is easy to make and will help add some variety to your dinner menu
Here’s what you will need:
6 green peppers-tops removed and seeded
1 lb lean ground beef
1 small onion chopped
1 cup cooked rice
1 tsp salt
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce divided
6 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
In a large kettle of boiling warder parboil peppers for 5 minutes and drain. In a medium skillet cook beef and onions until browned. Drain off excess fat; add rice, salt and one cup of tomato sauce, heat thoroughly. Heat oven to 350 f. Stuff each pepper with beef mixture and place in ungreased baking dish. pour remaining sauce over peppers. Cover with foil and bakd for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Serve.
